Job Summary

    The Reservation Manager is responsible for overseeing the reservation department to maximize room occupancy and revenue. They develop strategies, manage bookings, and coordinate with sales teams to drive sales and enhance guest experiences. Additionally, Reservation Managers play a key role in implementing promotional campaigns, analyzing reservation data, and ensuring adherence to service standards to achieve business objectives.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize room occupancy and revenue, aligning with the hotel's sales and marketing objectives.

    Oversee the reservation department, supervising reservation agents, and ensuring efficient handling of bookings, modifications, and cancellations.

    Monitor room availability, rates, and inventory, adjusting pricing strategies and distribution channels to optimize revenue and occupancy.

    Analyze reservation trends, market demand, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to inform pricing and promotional strategies.

    Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, packages, and offers to drive bookings and revenue growth.

    Manage relationships with online travel agencies (OTAs), global distribution systems (GDS), and other distribution partners to maximize exposure and reach.

    Ensure accuracy and integrity of reservation data, maintaining updated records and reports for analysis and decision-making.

    Train and develop reservation staff, providing guidance on customer service standards, reservation systems, and sales techniques.

    Handle escalated reservation inquiries and complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.

    Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in reservation management and sales to continuously improve processes and performance.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in hotel reservation systems and booking platforms, ensuring efficient handling of bookings, modifications, and cancellations.

Strong analytical skills to analyze reservation data, market trends, and competitor activities to inform pricing and promotional strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with guests, sales teams, and distribution partners, ensuring clear and effective communication.

Sales acumen to develop and execute promotional campaigns, packages, and offers to drive bookings and revenue growth.

Leadership and team management skills to supervise reservation agents, provide training and guidance, and foster a positive and productive work environment.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
