Job Summary

    The Retail Sales Assistant is responsible to promote products and services to clients and negotiate contracts with the aim of maximizing profits ensuring that all customers receive excellent service through direct salesmanship, and prompt and courteous service. 

Job Responsibilities 1

    Assist customers in finding and selecting merchandise, providing product information, and offering recommendations based on their needs and preferences.

    Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems, including handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods.

    Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail environment, including merchandise displays, shelves, and fitting rooms, to enhance the shopping experience.

    Monitor inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed, ensuring shelves are adequately stocked and visually appealing to customers.

    Assist with inventory management tasks such as receiving shipments, checking for damaged or missing items, and updating inventory records.

    Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly, resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

    Promote store promotions, discounts, and special offers to encourage sales and increase customer engagement.

    Collaborate with team members and management to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the retail operation.

    Stay informed about product features, trends, and promotions to effectively assist customers and drive sales.

    Adhere to Company policies and procedures regarding customer service, sales techniques, and store operations.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of the merchandise sold in the store, including features, benefits, and specifications, to effectively assist customers and provide accurate product recommendations.

Proficiency in sales techniques such as upselling, cross-selling, and product demonstration to maximize sales opportunities and increase revenue.

Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers, address their needs and concerns, and deliver exceptional service that exceeds expectations.

Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers, colleagues, and management, conveying information accurately and professionally.

Ability to quickly identify and resolve customer issues and complaints, finding satisfactory solutions to ensure positive experiences and maintain customer loyalty.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
