Job Summary

Plans, organizes, and creates holiday package combining tour and travel components suitable for client’s requirements.


Job Responsibilities 1

Principal Accountabilities

  • Plans travel, accommodation and associated arrangements for clients and makes travel bookings
  • Keeps up-to-date records of suppliers list with all related meetings
  • Makes report on daily basis to Line Manager with sales and related details
  • Keep up-to-date records of all clients and create a data base for future businesses

Essential Function

  1. Assists customers with Hotel bookings, Visa assistance, travel insurance, International driving license and vehicle hire.
  2. Analyzes clients’ specifications or wishes and suggests suitable travel packages or services
  3. Determines clients’ needs and suggest suitable travel packages
  4. Organizes travel arrangements from beginning to end, including tickets, accommodation, transportation and tours.
  5. Researches various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc.
  6. Organizes travels from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation, etc.
  7. Provides travelers with pertinent information and useful travel/holiday materials (guides, maps, event programs etc.)
  8. Makes reservations (normal and interline) as per customer requirements.
  9. Handles Visa enquiries and travel insurance
  10. Creates and updates electronic records of clients
  11. Prepares and uses promotional techniques and materials to sell itinerary tour packages
  12. Handles unforeseen problems and complaints and determines eligibility for money returns
  13. Attends conferences to maintain familiarity with tourism trends
  14. Maintains relationships with key persons
  15. Reaches the revenue and profit target
  16. Responds to all calls quickly, professionally and courteously
  17. Keep up to date with developments in the travel industry
  18. Maintains professional image as per organization image quality standards
  19. Creates attractive readymade/tailor made tour packages.

Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of computer reservations systems, and e-travel
  • Knowledge of key holiday destinations
  • Knowledge of one or more foreign languages
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of preparing tailored holidays packages and promotions
