SENIOR TECHNICAL AND ENGINEERING MANAGER

Job Summary

Responsible for all engineering/technical aspects of the company’s operations, inclusive of value engineering opportunities, construction and overall methodology, method statements, engineering design drawings, shop drawings and material submittals and follow up approval.  This position also  manages the preparation/verification of detailed constructional drawings,  negotiation and securing of technical and statutory approvals to achieve and monitor the optimum effectiveness.

 

Job Responsibilities 1

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provides supports implementation of all technical and engineering strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product development, quality, cost and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing and driving engineering excellence.
  • Manages the Technical and Engineering function and quality of service delivery, striving for best in class products and business practices to deliver to the customer’s expectations.
  • Ensures to maintain a safe working environment within Company workplaces, and applying the Company Health & Safety Policy

Essential Functions
1. Management / Leadership
Leads the team, manages key stakeholders relationships, resources, budget and team members to ensure the achievement of quality outcomes and reports.

  • Manages the engineering team on the project site, provide directions, strategy, daily/weekly/monthly tasks and work plan for the team members.
  • Maintains good relationship with all project key stakeholders and the engineering team member.
  • Submits weekly and monthly reports for the engineering deliverables.
  • Increases the efficiency of the technical team performance using smart approaches,
  • Ensures the quality of deliverables with minimum budget for the staff.
  • Contributes in all important strategic decisions/ directions for project
     

Job Responsibilities 2

  • Strong practical experience with ability to prepare detailed method statement.
  • Advanced Knowledge in engineering principles, techniques, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of material engineering properties and local/global availability of materials
  • Excellent technical skills and ability to organize and oversee preparation of technical drawings
  • Knowledge of Project Management
