Job Summary

    Senior Anesthesiology and Pain Management Consultant will provide expert consultation and leadership in the field of anesthesiology and pain management, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care and clinical outcomes. His / her responsibilities will include overseeing complex cases, advising on treatment plans, and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained throughout our institution.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Lead and supervise a team of anesthesiologists and pain management specialists.

    Provide expert consultation on challenging cases and develop comprehensive treatment plans.

    Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and guidelines, promoting patient safety and quality of care.

    Perform advanced procedures in anesthesiology and pain management, ensuring optimal outcomes.

    Monitor patients during procedures and post-operative recovery, managing pain effectively.

    Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and address patient needs.

    Mentor junior staff, residents, and medical students in anesthesiology and pain management techniques.

    Conduct educational sessions and participate in continuing medical education programs.

    Stay updated with advancements in the field and incorporate best practices into clinical practice.

    Participate in clinical research initiatives and contribute to publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Job Responsibilities 2

    Implement innovative approaches to enhance anesthesia techniques and pain management strategies.

    Collaborate with researchers and industry partners to develop new treatments and technologies.

    Assist in developing departmental policies, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.

    Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.

    Participate in administrative meetings and contribute to strategic planning for the department.

Additional Responsibilities 3

Job Knowledge & Skills

    Extensive experience as a Consultant Anesthesiologist, demonstrating leadership and clinical excellence.

    Skilled in performing chronic pain interventions under Fluoroscopic and Ultrasound guidance (essential).

    Competent in use of Ultrasound for peripheral nerve blocks and insertion of invasive lines (essential).

    Competent in use of advanced airway equipment (essential).

    Strong Knowledge of the Healthcare industry.

Job Experience

    Minimum 3 years of experience in Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (Mandatory).

    Preferred: Minimum 1 year’s work experience in the Gulf Cooperation Council (Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain).
