Job Summary

    The Senior Governance Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing governance policies, assessments and provide comprehensive, efficient and high-quality governance support across the organization.

Job Responsibilities 1

Design and implement governance frameworks and policies to ensure organizational compliance and effectiveness.

Develop, review, and update governance policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Identify and assess governance risks, developing strategies to mitigate potential issues and enhance organizational resilience.

Monitor and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Communicate with and advise stakeholders on governance matters, ensuring transparency and addressing any concerns or issues.

Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring that governance practices are thoroughly reviewed and any findings are addressed.

Provide training and support to staff on governance policies and procedures, fostering a culture of compliance and accountability.

Prepare and present detailed reports on governance activities, performance, and issues to senior management and boards.

Identify opportunities for improving governance processes and practices, implementing changes to enhance effectiveness.

Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry trends, ensuring that the organization adapts its governance practices accordingly.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge, understanding and experience in Corporate Legal Structure.

Knowledge and understanding in Commercial Law.

Knowledge and understanding in Corporate Governance, Delegation of Authority.

Demonstrated skills in SAP, MS Office Suites, presentation, communication (verbal and written) and analysis.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
