Job Summary

Bridge Capital is seeking a Senior Legal Manager - Compliance to lead the legal and regulatory dimensions of the compliance framework across the investment platform. The role will interpret applicable obligations, establish proportionate policies and controls, advise on high-risk matters, support investment and transaction diligence, and ensure that sanctions, anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, conflicts, conduct and integrity risks are identified, escalated and addressed effectively. Working closely with the Group Chief Legal Officer, investment professionals, Finance, Human Resources, portfolio companies and external advisers, the successful candidate will convert complex requirements into practical guidance and defensible decisions while strengthening a culture of integrity and commercial judgment.

Job Responsibilities 1

  • Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Bridge Capital's compliance framework, policies, standards and controls in alignment with applicable laws, regulations and the Group's risk appetite.
  • Interpret and monitor regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions and translate new or changing obligations into proportionate actions, controls and accountabilities.
  • Oversee sanctions, anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, anti-bribery and corruption, fraud, conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality, and third-party integrity requirements.
  • Manage enhanced due diligence on counterparties, intermediaries, investors, partners and other higher-risk relationships, ensuring decisions are evidence-based and appropriately documented.
  • Lead or oversee internal investigations into suspected misconduct, regulatory breaches, conflicts or integrity concerns, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external advisers as required.
  • Embed compliance requirements into business processes, contractual arrangements, approval authorities, recordkeeping and third-party management without creating unnecessary operational friction.
  • Build a culture of integrity, accountability and constructive challenge, advising stakeholders with independence while enabling responsible and commercially sound decisions.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including confidence with investment committees, boards, management teams and sophisticated external counterparties.

Demonstrated ability to lead small teams, manage multiple workstreams and develop junior professionals in a high-performance environment.

Cross-border experience and cultural fluency are strongly preferred. Professional fluency in Arabic, Spanish, French or another relevant language is a plus, but not a requirement.

Proven ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory requirements, assess materiality and design proportionate policies, controls, monitoring and governance arrangements.

Demonstrated expertise in sanctions, anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, conduct, third-party risk and regulatory compliance.

Job Experience

Minimum 6 to 10 years of progressive experience across investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing, corporate development, project finance or senior deal origination, including substantial leadership responsibility in Latin America.

Strong experience supporting investment, transaction or portfolio activity, including risk-based due diligence, escalation, mitigation, approvals and post-acquisition remediation.

Experience conducting or overseeing internal investigations, enhanced due diligence, compliance testing, breach management and remediation in sensitive or high-risk situations.
