Job Summary

To Lead, manage, supervise, follow up on all construction Mechanical/Electrical systems Installation, Inspections, Testing & Commissioning

Job Responsibilities 1

  • To manage self, to manage others and to liaise with the CM, MEP coordinators, Site engineers and foremen.
  • To ensure the project discipline works are executed in accordance with the relevant discipline drawings, specifications, method statement, execution program in coordination with all other disciplines.
  • To ensure that the Mechinacal/Electrical works are executed efficiently within the target schedule in the best quality without materials wastage.
  • To ensure the Mechanical/Electrical works are executed in compliance with local authorities that has jurisdiction over the discipline scope of work i.e. KM, QCDD, Ooredoo, Health and Safety and all standards applicable to the project such as QCS2014 and the project specifications.
  • To ensure adherence to the relevant company's policies and procedures.
  • To ensure the satisfaction of the client, consultant and main contractor and MEP project manager/CM always.

Job Responsibilities 2

  • To guide the site engineers through the work activities management process throughout the duration of the project.  Assign specific targets to the various work activities.
  • To plan and allocate responsibilities to team members.
  • To review and approve Mechnical/Electrical shop drawings.
  • To review and approve Mechnical/Electrical design calculations.
  • To review and sign-off Mechanical/Electrical material technical submittal before issuance to consultant.
  • To review and sign-off material requisitions.
  • To prepare schedule of method statements.
  • To review and approve method statements in compliance with project specifications and budget.
  • To liaise with technical department for the relevant authority approvals.

• Strong Knowledge of the Construction Field

• Mechnical/Electrical codes and Standards

• NFPA

• Local Regulations

• UPDA Certified Engineer or Certification with attestation

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Profesional degree in MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA)
