Job Summary

The Senior PMV (Plant, Machinery and Vehicle) Operations Manager leads the strategic planning and daily management of plant, machinery, and vehicle operations, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. They oversee maintenance programs, budget management, and safety compliance while leading a team and managing vendor relationships. Their role focuses on enhancing operational effectiveness, minimizing downtime, and driving cost efficiencies.

Job Responsibilities 1

Develop and implement strategic plans for the operation and management of plant, machinery, and vehicles to support organizational goals.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of PMV assets, ensuring efficient performance and adherence to operational standards.

Establish and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Coordinate and optimize the allocation and utilization of plant, machinery, and vehicles to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Prepare and manage budgets for PMV operations, monitor expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational standards.

Ensure all PMV operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards, implementing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.

Lead, mentor, and manage the PMV operations team, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and development of staff.

Manage relationships with equipment suppliers and service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery and service quality.

Analyze operational performance metrics and reports to identify areas for improvement, implement process enhancements, and drive efficiency.

Address and resolve complex issues related to plant, machinery, and vehicles, including troubleshooting, coordinating repairs, and managing technical challenges.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Deep understanding of plant, machinery, and vehicle systems, including advanced troubleshooting and repair techniques.

Strong skills in strategic planning and operational management to drive efficiency and align with organizational goals.

Expertise in budget preparation, cost control, and financial management to optimize resource allocation and expenditure.

Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements, with the ability to implement and oversee effective safety protocols.

Excellent leadership skills for managing teams and vendors, coupled with strong communication abilities to report on performance and coordinate across departments.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Engineering
