Job Summary
The Senior Planning Officer in the Planning department is responsible to oversee and manage the planning activities within an organization, ensuring the effective development and implementation of strategic plans, policies, and procedures. This role involves leading a team of planning professionals, conducting research and analysis, and providing recommendations to support decision-making processes. Additionally, the Senior Planning Officer collaborates with internal stakeholders to align planning efforts with organizational goals and objectives, monitors progress, and evaluates the effectiveness of planning initiatives. They play a critical role in driving organizational growth, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing operational efficiency through strategic planning and coordination.
Job Responsibilities 1
Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures to guide the organization's planning efforts and achieve its objectives.
Lead and supervise a team of planning officers, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure the successful execution of planning activities.
Conduct research, analyze data, and evaluate trends to inform decision-making processes and support the development of effective planning strategies.
Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to gather input, assess needs, and align planning initiatives with organizational priorities.
Monitor progress towards goals and objectives, identify challenges and opportunities, and recommend adjustments to planning strategies as needed.
Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management, highlighting key findings, insights, and recommendations related to planning activities.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in all planning efforts and initiatives.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the planning department, encouraging innovation, creativity, and efficiency in planning processes.
Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and other forums related to planning and strategic initiatives, as needed.
Serve as a liaison between the planning department and other departments, providing support, guidance, and coordination to facilitate effective planning across the organization.

Proficiency in project management and coordination to oversee planning initiatives and ensure timely execution.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present planning recommendations convincingly.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
