Job Summary

The Senior Private Security Officer provides dedicated, discreet, and highest-standard close protection and security services exclusively to the President and Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), ensuring their personal safety, secure movement, and the security of the President and GCEO's Office and related premises at all times.

The role is embedded exclusively within the President and GCEO's Office and reports directly to the Head of Office Management and Protocol, working in close coordination with that function to align security arrangements with the President and GCEO's schedule, protocol requirements, and confidentiality expectations.

The Senior Private Security Officer proactively identifies and mitigates security risks, coordinates secure travel and event logistics, and acts as the first line of defense in any threat, security incident, or emergency situation, while maintaining absolute discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.

Job Responsibilities 1

Executive Close Protection: Provide dedicated, discreet, round-the-clock personal protection to the President and GCEO during all official and private engagements, ensuring their safety at all times and in all settings.

Threat & Risk Assessment: Conduct continuous risk assessments of routes, venues, meetings, itineraries, and individuals in proximity to the President and GCEO; proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential security threats.

Secure Travel & Movement Coordination: Plan and coordinate secure transport and movement, conduct advance site and route surveys, and liaise with local security and law enforcement authorities for domestic and international travel.

Office & Premises Security: Monitor and safeguard the security of the President and GCEO's Office premises and residence as required, coordinating access control, surveillance systems, and visitor screening.

Emergency & Crisis Response: Act as first responder in security incidents, medical emergencies, or crisis situations; maintain, rehearse, and execute emergency evacuation and contingency plans.

Surveillance Detection & Counter-Surveillance: Monitor for suspicious activity, hostile surveillance, or reconnaissance targeting the President and GCEO, and take appropriate preventive action.

Law Enforcement & Government Liaison: Build and maintain professional relationships with police, state security, and diplomatic protection units to support and coordinate protective operations.

Event & Meeting Security: Coordinate security arrangements for high-profile meetings, board sessions, official functions, and VIP visits hosted by or attended by the President and GCEO.

Confidentiality & Discretion: Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding the President and GCEO's schedule, movements, conversations, and personal matters at all times.

Security Equipment & Technology Management: Maintain security equipment, protective gear, and communication devices in full operational readiness, and recommend upgrades where appropriate.

Incident Reporting & Documentation: Prepare accurate security briefs, daily logs, and incident reports; escalate matters of concern promptly and appropriately.

Coordination with Office Management & Protocol: Work closely with the Head of Office Management and Protocol and other Office staff to align security arrangements with protocol requirements, VIP visits, and the President and GCEO's day-to-day schedule.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Close Protection & Tactical Awareness: Strong practical knowledge of close protection methodology, defensive tactics, and situational awareness techniques.

Risk & Threat Assessment: Ability to assess routes, venues, and situations for security risk and to develop and apply appropriate mitigation measures.

Confidentiality & Discretion: Exceptional discretion and judgment in handling sensitive information relating to the President and GCEO's movements, schedule, and personal matters.

Emergency Response & First Aid: Proficiency in emergency response procedures, first aid/CPR, and crisis management under pressure.

Communication & Coordination: Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with the Head of Office Management and Protocol, Office staff, law enforcement, and third-party security providers.

Job Experience

Executive Protection Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in close protection, executive security, or VIP security, including direct protection of senior principals such as heads of state, business leaders, or high-net-worth individuals.

High-Profile Principal Exposure: Proven track record of providing protection in high-pressure, high-visibility environments, including domestic and international travel.

Law Enforcement / Military / Special Forces Background: Prior service in police, military, special forces, or government protective units is highly preferred.
