Senior Product Development Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for identifying new opportunities for developing a new marketable product from concept to distribution and improving an existing product to meet customers’ needs better and invigorate the current market. Product Development Manager should possess a strong background in healthcare product development, with a passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare solutions.

Job Responsibilities 1

Develops and executes product development strategies aligned with organizational goals and market needs.

Conducts market research, analyzes industry trends, and identifies opportunities for new product development or enhancements.

Identifies customer needs and develops appropriate product solutions, ensuring customer-centric product development.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams including sales, design, regulatory affairs, marketing, and clinical to define product requirements and specifications.

Leads and coordinates product development projects from concept through commercialization, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Manages Product development teams, providing guidance, direction, and support to achieve project objectives.

Job Responsibilities 2

Ensures products comply with regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., ISO), collaborating closely with the regulatory affairs team to navigate approval processes.

Stays informed about regulatory changes and incorporates them into product development planning.

Oversees the development of prototypes and conducts testing and validation to ensure product safety, efficacy, and usability.

Manages design iterations based on feedback from stakeholders and testing results.

Implements risk management processes throughout the product development lifecycle, identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Establishes quality assurance protocols to maintain product reliability and performance standards.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards, with experience navigating regulatory pathways.

Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools; PMP certification is a plus.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.

Strategic thinker with analytical skills to assess market opportunities and drive product innovation.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and compliance in product development processes.

Job Experience

8+ years of proven experience in product development management within the healthcare industry, preferably in the medical sector or pharmaceuticals. 5 years in a relevant supervisory position and a minimum of 3 years in GCC preferred.
