Job Summary

    The Senior QA/QC Manager leads in the development of strategies and processes of QA/QC department by implementing policies, procedures, regulations of quality control work and supervisory techniques to ensure that work is executed within specific methods, project quality plan guidelines and procedures that can assure high quality of services and products, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement of processes and services.

Job Responsibilities 1

Prepare and maintain project QA/QC plan to meet the project quality requirements.

Establish project quality objectives in line with IMS corporate objectives; monitors submittal status of QA/QC reports and reviews all technical submittals.

Build and implement a control system for suppliers and subcontractors and conducts site audits.

Attend all required/related meetings and arranges all project Quality requirements with the project owner, consultant, and project management team.

Oversee the review material submittals and method statements submitted by the contractor to ensure the quality requirements set on the project is met.

Prepare the project QA/QC plan and supervise all amendments and revisions in order to meet the project quality requirements and client’s expectations.

Ensure to prepare the project QA/ QC plan within 30 days from the start of contract and get it approved from the consultant.

Ensure that review is undertaken on a quarterly or on a need basis.

Ensure to supervise all amendments and track and record revisions to the QA/ QC plan after any amendment and issue to all concerned parties.

Ensure to prepare, review and amend quality objectives as per client requirements within 30 days of the start of the project and ensures its alignment with corporate QMS objectives.

Job Responsibilities 2

Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that trainings are obtained.

Ensures to prepare during the beginning of the project the project training matrix and ensure that all trainings are carried out as planned.

Ensures to monitor the effectiveness of the trainings on a need basis or minimum bi- annual basis.

Manages to attend all required/related meetings and arrange all project Quality requirements with the project owner, consultant, project management.

Ensures 100% coordination with project owner/ consultant/project management at all times and ensure that weekly scheduled meetings are carried out, and all records are documented; attendance sheets, minutes …etc.

Ensures that all actions recorded in the minutes of meetings are followed up.

Implements IMS procedures at project sites.

Ensures that all QMS processes are followed, all approved forms are filled and all documents are generated as per the company procedures.

Ensures that QMS trainings are carried out for all concerned staff of the project and all site staff and new joiners are complying 100% with the QMS requirements.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.

Strong leadership and managerial skills to oversee QA/QC teams, develop processes, and ensure compliance with standards.

Excellent analytical abilities to identify quality issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Proficiency in quality management systems and tools to monitor and improve product quality and processes.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to maintain quality standards.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or in any Engineering related discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical)
Professional Qualification in Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal) or ASQC certification (CQM/CQE).
