Job Summary
To collect money from individuals, businesses, and other organizations while enuring a dedicated process of tracking payments is in place.
Job Responsibilities 1
Perform coding audits on vendors, physicians and coding staff in order to ensure adherence to ICD-9 and CMS coding guidelines.
Conduct independent field examinations and investigations of income tax returns of individuals, partnerships, and corporate entities.
Submit adjustments/refunds & EOB to have pricing correct.
Participate in annual charge master/ CPT / HCPCS review.
Work appeals, denials, and make adjustments according to EOB.
Apply GAAP rules during audit cases in order to determine any issues.
Identify CPT, ICD9 and HCPCS coding errors for billing and collection resolutions.
Correspond via written communication or telephone with tax filers to resolve filing discrepancies.
Job Responsibilities 2
Provide instructions and analyze complex or unusual issues present by taxpayers, practitioners and IRS employees.
Work with taxpayers, accountants, CPA s and attorneys to obtain statements of financial condition.
Prepare recommendations to counsel for legal proceedings.
Assist revenue agents conducting field examination on a variety of large partnerships and corporations.
Prepare and edit detailed legal reports involving tax investigations for legal counsel.
Audit non-resident partner/shareholder pass through income and withholding.
