Senior Sales Engineer
Job Summary
The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for selling complex scientific and technological products/ services. The role maintains substantial knowledge of the functions and components of the products or services and assist in parts where technical expertise will be needed to respond to the clients' needs.
Job Responsibilities 1
Serve as a technical expert and consultant to sales teams, providing guidance and support in understanding customers' technical requirements and proposing appropriate solutions.
Collaborate with sales representatives to identify and qualify leads, opportunities, and customer needs, leveraging technical knowledge to articulate value propositions and differentiate products or services.
Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions with prospects and clients to showcase features, functionalities, and benefits.
Assess customer environments, workflows, and challenges to recommend tailored solutions that address specific pain points and maximize value.
Develop and deliver technical proposals, quotes, and pricing strategies, aligning offerings with customer requirements and budget considerations.
Coordinate with internal technical teams, including product development, engineering, and support, to gather information, address technical inquiries, and ensure alignment between customer needs and product capabilities.
Participate in the preparation and delivery of sales training programs, materials, and workshops to educate sales teams on technical aspects of products and solutions.
Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to maintain a deep understanding of relevant markets and products.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, to foster trust, collaboration, and long-term business partnerships.
Track and report on sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to management for continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
