Job Summary

The Senior Sales Manager oversees and implements all sales activities for a specific area of responsibility or market segment(s), including developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts and implementation of sales strategies. Responsible for targeting new commercial, corporate and meetings & events business. Additionally, staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.

Job Responsibilities 1

Develops sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability

Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.

Identifies opportunities and grow new business from a variety of large multi national, local and regional organizations to ensure a diverse complimentary mix of events.

Manages and develops the sales team setting objectives to achieve pre-set targets identified from the sales plan.

Identifies valuable emerging markets and continuously widening the leads pipeline.

Manages the Sales Account Manager to ensure that all opportunities are reacted to, proactively targeted and relationship managed in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities 2

Develops an annual sales strategy, taking into account market trends and the business environment and review this on a quarterly basis reporting on any findings.

Provides accurate forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace.

Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.

Ensures contracts are accurately raised and reflect the proposal made and, working with the Contracts Executive, ensure they are signed and returned.

Develop a robust CRM process to ensure that key client relationships are developed on an on-going consistent basis and that this information is recorded and reported each month.

Maximizes all sales opportunities through research of accounts and upselling Techniques

Ensures strict adherence to business conduct guidelines and other business processes throughout the organization

Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction

• Knowledge of Customer Relationship ManagementExperience in managing and creating sales contractsStrong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirementsExperience of writing customer proposals for significant deals and grants for significant amounts.In-depth knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.Knowledge of the local area and local competitors to enhance services/products provided

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
