Senior Technical And Engineering Director
Job Summary
The Senior Technical and Engineering Director establishes, builds and leads on all aspects of organization technical and engineering function. The position oversees engineering/technical aspects of the Company's operations, inclusive of value engineering opportunities, construction and overall methodology, method statements, engineering design drawings, shop drawings and material submittals and follow up approval. This position also creates and implements best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
Job Responsibilities 1
Design and implement technical and engineering strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product development, quality, cost and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing and driving engineering excellence.
Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills.
Oversee the Engineering function and quality of service delivery, striving for best in class products and business practices to deliver to the customer’s expectations.
Work with the Senior Management Team to assess and evaluate organization technical needs with respect to impact and effectiveness of program, and Company development.
Manage the engineering team on the project site, provide directions, strategy, daily/weekly/monthly tasks and work plan for the team members.
Maintain good relationship with all project key stakeholders and the engineering team member.
Submit weekly and monthly reports for the engineering deliverables.
Ensure the quality of deliverables with minimum budget for the staff.
Contribute in all important strategic decisions/ directions for project.
Participate in the development of the project program consistent with contracted constraints and contributes in the development of the PQP.
Contribute in preparing the logistic plan and submit for consultant approval.
Job Responsibilities 2
On a annual basis, support the evaluation of the performance of each assigned team member according to company policy and procedure.
Supports retain 100% of the site project team.
Participates in the addressing and settling of all disputes between team members, subcontractors, consultants or any outside entity.
Participates in reception, review, planning, for the complete project budget issued from Project Manager, all preliminaries and consumables for the life of the project.
Receives Cost loaded project baseline program from the Project Manager for comments if any.
Supports the Issuance of appropriate written instructions to all subcontractors associated with a given Variation Order.
Tracks and catalog any and all events that may or may not develop into a variation order.
Prepares and manages the producing of Technical packages for procurement as per the project time schedule & Buy out date.
Participates in the preparation of the prequalified project Vendor list.

Job Knowledge & Skills
Strong practical experience with ability to prepare detailed method statement.
Advanced Knowledge in engineering principles, techniques, policies, and procedures. Excellent knowledge of
material engineering properties and local/global availability of materials.
Excellent technical skills and ability to organize and oversee preparation of technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of Project Management.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience
Minimum 15 year(s) working experience, 10 year(s) in a relevant management/leadership position, 5 year (s) GCC is a plus
