Job Summary
The Senior Technical Manager provides strategic and technical leadership across multiple complex projects and concurrent workstreams. This role is responsible for overseeing detailed technical investigations, design development, and optimization to ensure the highest standards of technical excellence and efficiency. In addition to managing assigned projects, the Senior Technical Manager reviews and validates the work of Technical Managers, mentors the technical team, and ensures consistency with organizational and regulatory requirements. The position maintains effective liaison with statutory authorities and stakeholders, while ensuring all required technical documentation, reports, and drawings are produced accurately and efficiently to support successful project delivery.
Job Responsibilities 1
Strategic Leadership & Technical Excellence
- Drive implementation of technical strategy and project objectives to exceed customer expectations in quality, cost, and delivery.
- Lead resolution of complex technical design and construction issues while ensuring optimized, high‑quality technical solutions.
Stakeholder & Government Relations
- Maintain effective working relationships with key project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Act as the senior technical interface for approvals, coordination, and compliance-related technical matters.
Financial Performance & Cost Efficiency
- Ensure technical deliverables are achieved within approved staffing budgets while maintaining quality and performance standards.
- Optimize technical resource allocation to improve productivity and control project-related technical costs.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Company HSE policies, technical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical and construction-related risks across all project phases.
Operational Excellence & Efficiency
- Manage multiple technical workstreams concurrently to ensure coordinated, timely, and efficient delivery.
- Improve technical team performance through structured planning, clear workflows, and efficient working practices.
Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Promote the use of efficient technical tools, systems, and methodologies to enhance collaboration and productivity.
- Support innovation in design, engineering, and construction solutions aligned with project needs.
People, Culture & Organizational Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and direct the project technical team through clear task assignment and performance oversight.
- Foster a collaborative, high‑performance technical culture focused on accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.

Job Knowledge & Skills
Strong practical experience with the ability to prepare detailed method statements. Advanced Knowledge of
engineering principles, techniques, policies, and procedures. Excellent knowledge of material engineering
properties and local/global availability of materials. Excellent technical skills and ability to organize and oversee
the preparation of technical drawings. Knowledge of Project Management.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

10 years of total experience
8 years in relevant supervisory position and 5 years GCC experience is a plus
