Job Summary

    The Storekeeper Assistant is responsible to support efficient inventory management by assisting with the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods. They aid in maintaining accurate records, organizing stock, and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders, contributing to the smooth operation of warehouse activities. Additionally, Storekeeper Assistants assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse environment.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Assist in receiving incoming shipments and verifying their contents against purchase orders or packing lists.

    Aid in organizing and storing goods in designated warehouse locations, ensuring efficient space utilization.

    Assist in picking and packing orders accurately and timely for shipment or delivery.

    Help in conducting regular inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies between physical stock and system records.

    Support in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, including sweeping floors and organizing storage areas.

    Assist in loading and unloading trucks or containers using appropriate equipment or manual labor.

    Aid in preparing and labeling goods for shipment or storage according to established procedures.

    Assist in conducting routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment and reporting any issues or malfunctions.

    Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

    Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.

    Assist in performing other duties or tasks assigned by warehouse management to support overall warehouse operations.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of inventory management principles and practices, including receiving, storing, and issuing goods, as well as conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations.

Ability to accurately record and verify incoming shipments, maintain organized storage areas, and pick and pack orders with precision to minimize errors and discrepancies.

Knowledge of warehouse operations, including familiarity with storage equipment, safety procedures, and inventory control systems to contribute effectively to daily activities.

Effective communication skills to interact with warehouse staff, suppliers, and delivery personnel, conveying information clearly and professionally to ensure efficient workflow and teamwork.

Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects, as well as operating warehouse equipment safely and effectively.

Job Experience

Minimum 3 year(s) working experience, 2 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
