Sustainability Manager
Job Summary
The Sustainability Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing sustainability strategies that align with the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. This role will drive initiatives to reduce the organization’s carbon footprint, enhance resource efficiency, and ensure compliance with sustainability regulations and best practices. The Sustainability Manager will work cross-functionally to embed sustainable practices into business operations while fostering a culture of corporate responsibility and stakeholder engagement.
Job Responsibilities 1
Sustainability Strategy Development: Design and execute sustainability strategies that align with business objectives and industry best practices.
Policy and Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, national, and international environmental regulations and sustainability standards, reporting compliance updates to leadership.
Carbon Footprint Reduction: Lead initiatives for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon footprint mitigation across operations, with a focus on construction and concession activities.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, regulators, and community organizations to advance sustainability goals in construction projects.
Reporting and ESG Metrics: Develop sustainability reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and contribute to ESG disclosures relevant to the construction and concession sectors.
Sustainable Supply Chain Management: Work with procurement teams to integrate sustainable sourcing and supplier responsibility programs within the construction industry.
Employee Engagement and Training: Educate employees on sustainability initiatives and foster a culture of environmental responsibility, particularly in construction and infrastructure projects.
Innovation and Best Practices: Research and implement emerging sustainability trends, innovative technologies, and industry-leading practices in construction and concession projects.
Risk and Impact Assessment: Conduct risk assessments related to climate change, environmental hazards, and regulatory changes affecting construction projects.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Support CSR initiatives and community outreach programs to enhance the company’s social and environmental impact within the construction and concession industry.

Job Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on construction and concession industries.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels within construction and engineering teams.
Analytical mindset with expertise in data analysis, reporting, and sustainability performance tracking for construction and concession projects.
ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.
Job Experience
Minimum 5 years working experience, 3 years relevant working experience, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
