BHS Operator

Job Summary

Operate and monitor the Baggage Handling System (BHS) to ensure smooth, safe, and continuous baggage flow in accordance with operational procedures and instructions. The role supports terminal operations by identifying irregularities, reporting incidents, and ensuring proper system usage.

Job Responsibilities 1

• Operate assigned BHS equipment and systems in accordance with operational procedures.
• Monitor baggage flow and system performance during operations.
• Identify system irregularities, blockages, or malfunctions and report them immediately to the supervisor.
• Take initial corrective actions within authorized limits when operational issues occur.
• Ensure proper handling of baggage and compliance with operational instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and order within the BHS operational areas.
• Support accurate documentation and reporting of operational activities and incidents.
• Participate in shift handover by providing system status updates.
• Comply with operational instructions and safety requirements applicable to BHS operations.
• Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors within the scope of BHS operations.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Basic understanding of SCADA interfaces.
• Basic knowledge of Baggage Handling Systems and related equipment.
• Ability to monitor system operations and follow operational instructions.
• Awareness of reporting and escalation procedures.
• Basic communication and coordination skills.

Job Experience

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in baggage handling, technical operations, or similar operational environments.
