Job Summary

    The Tax Manager manages all aspects of taxation within an organization, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations while optimizing tax efficiency. They are responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies and policies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits for the organization. Additionally, the Tax Manager plays a key role in tax planning, forecasting, and risk management, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making. They also manage relationships with tax authorities, external auditors, and other stakeholders, representing the organization in tax matters and resolving tax issues.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations at the local, state, national, and international levels, staying abreast of changes in tax legislation and interpreting their impact on the organization.

    Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to avoid penalties and interest charges.

    Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the organization's tax liabilities while maximizing available tax incentives, deductions, and credits.

    Conduct tax research and analysis to address complex tax issues, providing guidance and recommendations to senior management on tax-efficient business structures and transactions.

    Manage relationships with tax authorities, responding to inquiries, audits, and assessments, and representing the organization in tax disputes and negotiations.

    Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance, legal, and operations teams, to integrate tax considerations into business decisions, transactions, and initiatives.

    Provide tax guidance and support to cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with tax requirements in areas such as employee compensation, benefits, and incentives.

    Oversee transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and minimize transfer pricing risks.

    Develop and implement tax accounting policies and procedures in accordance with accounting standards, ensuring accurate tax reporting and disclosures.

    Provide tax-related training and education to internal teams, fostering a culture of tax compliance and awareness within the organization.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles relevant to the organization's operations and jurisdictions.

Strong analytical skills are essential for interpreting complex tax regulations, conducting tax research, and analyzing financial data to identify tax planning opportunities and risks.

Proficiency in tax software and financial management systems is necessary for preparing and filing tax returns accurately and efficiently, as well as for managing tax-related data and documentation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for effectively liaising with internal stakeholders, external tax advisors, and tax authorities, as well as for conveying tax-related information to non-financial stakeholders.

Experience in tax planning, compliance, and audit defense enables the Tax Manager to develop and implement tax strategies that minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Pubic Administration or business administration, and other related field
Certificate in Chartered Accountant (CA)
