Job Summary

Bridge Capital is seeking a Vice President, Fund Controller to serve as the senior internal owner of fund accounting, valuation governance, investor reporting, capital activity and financial control across its investment funds, parallel and feeder vehicles, co-investment vehicles, special purpose vehicles, general partner and carried-interest entities, and related structures. The role will oversee third-party administrators and other service providers and establish institutional-grade fund finance infrastructure, safeguard NAV and investor capital-account integrity, and provide transparent, decision-ready reporting across a multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional and multi-currency platform. This is a distinctive opportunity to shape the control environment and operating architecture of a growing global alternative asset manager from an early stage.

Job Responsibilities 1

  • Own monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and financial reporting across investment funds, parallel and feeder vehicles, co-investment vehicles, special purpose vehicles and related structures, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, partnership agreements, side letters, valuation policies and other governing documents.
  • Review and approve NAV calculations, trial balances, reconciliations, consolidation entries, investor allocations and supporting fund-accounting schedules, resolving material exceptions before release and owning the integrity of the NAV process and related accounting records; investment valuations remain subject to approval by the designated Valuation Committee or other authorized governing body.
  • Own the controlled preparation, review and execution of capital calls, drawdowns, investor allocations, distribution calculations, waterfall models, carried-interest accounting, equalization and investor payment processes, with document approvals, segregation of duties and dual authorization for cash movements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of investor capital accounts, commitments, ownership records, subscriptions, transfers, closings and allocation methodologies across fund and co-investment structures, including compliance with partnership agreements, side letters and approved allocation policies.
  • Own fund financial statements, audit deliverables, tax schedules, regulatory filings and supporting records in coordination with administrators, auditors, tax advisers, Legal and Compliance.
  • Monitor fund liquidity, cash requirements, management fees, fund expenses, investment funding, foreign-exchange exposure, subscription facilities and other financing obligations and provide forward-looking visibility on funding needs.
  • Own the financial accuracy, completeness and timely delivery of institutional-quality investor reporting, including capital-account statements, capital call and distribution notices, quarterly reports, NAV support and responses to financial due-diligence requests, in coordination with Investor Relations.
  • Produce and validate fund-level analysis of deployment, realizations, liquidity, valuation movement and performance metrics, including gross and net IRR, MOIC, DPI, RVPI and TVPI where applicable.
  • Direct, oversee and challenge third-party fund administrators, custodians, banks, valuation specialists and other service providers against documented responsibilities, service levels, control standards and reporting calendars; Bridge retains accountability for review, approval, data ownership, access, record retention, issue escalation and business continuity notwithstanding outsourced processing.
  • Partner with Investment, FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Investor Relations and portfolio-company finance teams to support acquisitions, disposals, refinancings, restructurings and other investment lifecycle events.
  • Build scalable fund-finance processes, systems, data standards and reporting architecture; establish controlled interfaces with administrators and corporate systems and lead automation and responsible adoption of approved AI-enabled tools with appropriate controls.
  • Lead and develop a high-calibre fund-control team, setting clear accountability, quality standards and an institutional culture of precision, integrity and constructive challenge.

Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong command of IFRS and/or US GAAP, partnership accounting, fund financial statements, valuation-process governance, consolidation, audit, tax coordination, controls and the economic and accounting provisions of partnership agreements, side letters and other fund documentation..
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with the judgment and credibility to present fund-finance matters, control issues and recommendations to investment committees, boards, management teams and sophisticated external counterparties.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small teams, manage multiple workstreams and develop junior professionals in a high-performance environment.
  • Cross-border experience and cultural fluency are strongly preferred. Professional fluency in Arabic, Spanish, French or another relevant language is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and, where required, relocate to a Bridge office in the United States or Middle East.

Job Experience

  • Typically, 10 or more years of progressive experience in fund accounting, fund control, private-equity finance, alternative asset management, investment management or a closely related institutional environment, including meaningful responsibility for reviewing outsourced providers and leading teams or complex workstreams.
  • Deep experience across closed- or open-end funds, co-investment vehicles, SPVs and complex multi-entity structures, with direct responsibility for NAV, capital accounts, capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, carry and investor reporting.
  • Experience within a leading private-equity, infrastructure, real-assets or alternative investment platform, global fund administrator, Big Four asset-management practice or comparable institutional environment is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing a third-party fund administrator and working with institutional fund-accounting, investor-reporting, treasury and data platforms; experience selecting, implementing or transforming such systems is strongly preferred.
