Job Summary

    The Water Sports Operator, ensures the safe and enjoyable experience of guests on the water by operating boats, ensuring safety compliance, delivering excellent customer service, responding to emergencies, and maintaining the vessels. This includes facilitating and managing various water-based recreational activities.

Job Responsibilities 1

    Plan, organize, and oversee a variety of water sports and recreational activities. This may include activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, jet skiing, snorkeling, parasailing, water skiing, and more.

    Ensure the safety of participants by implementing and enforcing safety guidelines and procedures. Provide thorough briefings on equipment usage, safety protocols, and emergency procedures. Monitor water conditions and weather forecasts to make informed decisions regarding activity cancellations or adjustments.

    Regularly inspect and maintain water sports equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition. Perform routine checks on items like life jackets, watercraft, and other gear. Arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.

    Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Provide information about available water sports activities, answer inquiries, and assist participants with any concerns. Ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for guests.

    Provide basic instruction and guidance to participants, especially those who may be new to a particular water sport. Ensure that participants are aware of safety protocols and proper techniques for each activity.

    Oversee the water area to ensure that participants are following safety rules and guidelines. Monitor for any potential hazards or emergencies and be prepared to respond promptly.

    Manage, if any, the rental process(es) for water sports equipment, including handling paperwork, collecting fees, and ensuring that participants are properly equipped for their chosen activities.

Job Responsibilities 2

Coordinate and facilitate water sports events, competitions, or group activities. This may involve working with event planners, coordinating schedules, and ensuring that all logistical aspects are in order.

Trained to respond to emergencies, including water rescues or medical incidents. Maintain a clear understanding of first aid and CPR procedures. Coordinate with emergency services as necessary.

Foster an understanding of and respect for the local aquatic environment. Promote environmentally responsible practices among staff and participants to minimize the impact of water sports activities on the ecosystem.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in operating various watercraft such as jet skis, paddleboards, and kayaks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Knowledge of water safety practices, including rescue techniques, CPR, and first aid, to ensure the well-being of guests.

Ability to maintain and inspect watersports equipment regularly to ensure functionality and safety standards are met.

Strong customer service skills to interact with guests, provide instructions, and ensure a positive experience.

Preparedness to handle emergency situations on the water, including adverse weather conditions and medical emergencies, with quick and effective response measures.

Job Experience

Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
